WELCOME TO MATAWARA FOR 2022! 

Can you believe it - the holidays are over... and here we go, all set and ready for a FUN FILLED year of LEARNING!

Our first week will be VERY brief. We will see you all at various times during our Clarkville Connect Day, however Friday is our first Technology day at Kaiapoi Borough School! We then have an extended weekend for Waitangi Day, before we all meet up again to REALLY start the year on TUESDAY 8th February. 

Below is some vital information that will assist you and your child in starting the year.  Each Friday, you will receive an update from HERO, that will guide you to access this page so you can read all of the upcoming information for the following week. 

Please do not hesitate to ask, if you have any questions. 

TECHNOLOGY DAYS - 

Technology is at Kaiapoi Borough School, and our team attends for the whole day. On these days, the children board the bus, and it leaves by 9:15am sharp. We like the team to be at school no later than 8:55am on these days, so we can complete the roll and discuss any notices etc. 

Our Tech days are as follows for this term... 

• Week 1 - This week! 
• Week 3 - February 18th 
• Week 5 - March 4th 
• Week 7 - March 18th 
• Week 9 - April 1st

In Matawara, we operate a class webpage, where most of our learning is situated to make for ease of access. This means, when students are away, they can catch up on some of the learning we have been doing, and as parents you can see what we are up to.

CAMP PACKING LIST - 

We will be going on Camp in Week 4! Here is a copy of the packing list that was sent home in Term 4. We will give you more information about this as the Term begins.
