WELCOME TO WEEK 7!

Welcome to Week 7! 

This week has been somewhat different in our Team! There have been different teachers in the room on various days, but my discussions with Linda each evening, report back that Matawara are absolutely doing what they need, and are adapting brilliantly! 

I will be back on deck next week, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again! 

COMING UP THIS WEEK - 

Swimming will continue for this week, as we prepare for our Triathlon on Friday. This is a Triathlon with a difference! We will have exercise bikes out for children to bike as far as they can in 5 minutes (1.5km maximum), a run around our school area only (3 laps), and the five lengths that we usually swim.  All of Matawara are to complete this event as individuals. We will ensure we take photos of the fun as it happens! 

YEAR 8 LEADERSHIP - 

All Year 8's handed in their Goal and Purpose today, and we will delve into the second part of the project that is due before the holidays - our PLANNING section. On Monday I will spend time with the Year 8's unpacking this, and they will come home with a clear understanding of all that they need to get done in this section. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the MATAWARA ASSEMBLY CERTIFICATE and TSHIRT WINNERS THIS WEEK! 

FROM THE PTA - 

Pies and Hot Cross Buns from the Naked Baker 
This month we are running two fundraisers from the Naked Baker.  Students have been given an order form to take home for each fundraiser.

Important dates to note:  
* Orders in by Monday 14th March

* Payments in by Mon 21st March 

* Delivery date Thursday 31st March - collect from the main school gate from 2.40pm.
